The Quartz™ tanning ledge

The Quartz™ tanning ledge.

Extra-wide tanning ledge design.

Is the Quartz tanning ledge wide enough for an Indianapolis pool plan?

The Quartz is an extra-wide fiberglass tanning ledge measuring 14 feet across by 7 feet 3 inches with a uniform 1-foot depth. Its broad rectangular surface can support multiple seating positions or appropriately selected in-water loungers while remaining visually separate from the main swimming area.

An optional spillover can move water from the ledge into an adjacent pool and create a continuous water-feature edge. The final appearance and sound depend on elevation, plumbing, flow, and the relationship between both shells. Although the Quartz is shallow, one foot of water is not a safety guarantee; children and non-swimmers still require active supervision, and the overall project needs appropriate barriers and water-safety planning.

Plan the 14-foot ledge with the pool and deck

The wide span affects excavation, delivery access, deck circulation, and the alignment of the spillover with the pool. An Indianapolis site review should also cover hydraulics, equipment, drainage, clearances, winterization, and the intended furniture layout. Review fiberglass color options, explore financing options, and confirm your address through our Central Indiana service areas before settling on the final configuration.
